( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Ridgetop winds are expected to continue to increase overnight with averages near 40 and gusts into the mid 50s before decreasing into the 20s by Saturday morning. Snow showers should begin to develop early Saturday and continue through the day bringing 2 to 4 inches of new snow before tapering off Saturday night. Temperatures will be cooler with mountain highs in the upper teens to low 20s.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW Saturday morning and increase as the day progresses. New, shallow soft slabs will begin to develop near ridgelines and could begin to pose a threat in areas that held snow prior to this storm.
