Points saillants

The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today above 9,000 feet and CONSIDERABLE below this elevation. Strong winds and heavy snow have formed DANGEROUS soft slabs two to five feet in depth on steep wind loaded slopes at all elevations. These DANDEROUS slabs could release naturally or be triggered by riders or skiers. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended at the upper elevations. At the mid and lower elevations good terrain evaluation and route finding skills are essential for safe travel.
