Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Soft slabs up to three feet in depth lie in avalanche terrain and although not expected to slide naturally, could be triggered by backcountry users, particularly by larger loads such as snow machines and not necessarily by the first rider on the slope. On Monday a snowmobiler was killed by an avalanche near Poker Hollow in the Smiths Fork area.
