This is a special late season advisory issued at 11:55 AM on Tuesday April 20, 2004. The mid and upper elevations of the Teton Range have received approximately 13 inches of new snow since last Saturday. Strong southwest ridgetop winds have formed pockets of new soft slab 6 to 18 inches deep on leeward aspects. These pockets of slab have formed on slick old crusts and could be human triggered in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones. This advisory will expire at midnight.
