Avalanche Summary

Record-breaking warm temperatures will bring dangerous avalanche conditions. You can easily trigger wet avalanches, and on some slopes, they will grow large enough to bury you. The most dangerous slopes face northwest through north to east near treeline. Most steep slopes that face south simply don't have enough snow to produce a dangerous avalanche. You might be able to reduce your chances of triggering an avalanche by starting and ending your day early. Avoid traveling on steep slopes once your feet or machine start sinking deep into wet snow, or if you start to experience cracking or collapsing in wet snow.
