Avalanche Summary

Warming temperatures and ample sun will make it easy to trigger wet avalanches on Sunday afternoon. Get out early and move off slopes as the snow becomes moist. Pay attention to the terrain below and avoid travel where getting caught in a small slide could have big consequences.

Weak layers remain preserved in the snowpack above treeline on northwest, north, and northeast-facing slopes. Although increasingly stubborn to trigger, recent observations indicate humans can still impact these weak layers. The largest avalanches reported recently have been on steep, open, and rocky slopes.
