Avalanche Summary

There is low potential for you to trigger avalanches, but they could be large and severe. If you trigger a slide from a shallow spot around rock bands, or further down the path where the slab thins out, the entire slope could come down on top of you. Near and above treeline on shady slopes are the most likely places to find this problem. The best way to reduce your risk is to avoid steep, wind-drifted slopes and stick to lower-angle terrain.
