Avalanche Summary

New snow and strong winds shifting from southwest to northwest will form fresh, dense slabs on the eastern half of the compass. Higher-elevation slopes below ridges are the most likely places to find this problem and possibly trigger an avalanche. Steer around any steep terrain feature where you find more than a foot of new accumulation or see shooting cracks along the snow surface.
