Avalanche Summary

Most slopes remain safe from avalanches. The snowpack in many areas consists of soft snow and lacks a stiffer slab needed to create more dangerous conditions. The few places to use caution are around open ridgelines where winds have drifted snow into deeper mounds. You could trigger a small slide in one of these drifted areas that could catch you off guard and sweep you down the mountain.
