Forecast Snow Stability: Accumulations of new weak windslab on steep South-East to South aspects above 950m by the end of the day. Windslab development expected to be localised and confined to coire rims and gully exits. Good stability in all other locations. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.
Forecast Weather Influences: Remaining very cold. Light to moderate North-East winds increasing to strong Northerly winds in the afternoon. Light snow showers overnight and during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Cold and dry with very light winds. ObservedSnowStability: General snow cover remains thin and stability is good in many places. No new drifted snow. Pockets of firm moderately bonded windslab lie at the very top of some steep East to South-East facing coire rims and gully tops. A few small older cornices noted over steepest slopes of the same aspect. The avalanche hazard is Low.
