Avalanche Activity

NC for 2.1.25. Unstable windslab in isolated locations on mostly SW,S,SE aspects above 900 . Thin cover elsewhere. Hazard Moderate.

Forecast Snow Stability: Above 900 metres unstable windslab will continue to deepen and become more widespread on South-East to South-Westerly aspects and cross loaded locations on East and West aspects. Mostly in steep and isolated places and especially where it gains depth. Coire rims, ridge flanks, steep convexities, gully tops and flanks will be most affected. Elsewhere, snow cover is thin and not significant, but deeper in wind wind sheltered hollows which are avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate
