Avalanche Activity

CM for 15.2: Limited thin new windslab on W to N aspects. Good general stability. Low Hazard.

Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability in most locations. A little new windslab is possible on steep West to North aspects above 950m. Any new accumulations expected to be very thin and limited in extent. Minor pre existing cold induced instabilities will remain on selected steep North to East aspects above 1000m. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry overnight then some brief very light snow showers during the morning. Remaining cold throughout. Light later moderate East-South-East winds. Observed Weather Influences: Dry and bright. Cold, especially in heavily shaded areas though milder in the sun. ObservedSnowStability: Stability is generally good. Localised instabilities are persisting, mainly on steep North to East aspects above 1000 metres. Some old cornices remain, mainly above North through East to South-East aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
