Forecast Snow Stability: A period of poor stability overnight and during the early morning on steep North East through East to South East aspects above 850m. All recently formed cornices will become weak and prone to sudden collapse. Better stability on recently scoured slopes. The snowpack in all locations expected to show early consolidation later in the day. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable

Strong West South West winds becoming very strong during daylight hours. Observed Weather Influences: Cold with frequent overnight snow showers. Strong West North West winds eased during the day.
