Avalanche Activity

Low, level 1.

The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will soften quickly. Isolated small avalanches are possible in isolated cases. The avalanche prone locations are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and on shady slopes.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack remains generally subject to considerable local variations. Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls mostly small wind slabs formed. As a consequence of rising temperatures the snowpack can not consolidate.
