Points saillants

The avalanche danger is Low today above 8,500 feet. The snowpack up there is shallow and mostly stable. It does not have a history of producing avalanches. Normal caution is advised on steep snow covered slopes with respect to avalanche hazards. Shallow snow depths mean the risk of hitting rocks and other obstacles is a serious concern. The lower elevations lack enough snow for a danger rating.
