Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning increasing to MODERATE this afternoon as snow throughout the day is expected. This snow is to be accompanied by strong winds and is expected to form pockets of soft slabs up to eight inches in depth on steep wind loaded slopes. These new slabs will deposit on hard crusts and surface hoar on most aspects and could be triggered by backcountry riders, particularly this afternoon as more snow falls.
