Snowpack Structure

The sleet gave rise to a loss of strength within the snowpack over a wide area in particular at low and intermediate altitudes. As a consequence of new snow and wind, sometimes large wind slabs formed.

Tendency

As a consequence of warming during the day avalanches are to be expected as the day progresses, in particular medium-sized ones.
