Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of warming during the day, the likelihood of moist and wet avalanches being released will increase gradually on extremely steep sunny slopes.

Small and medium-sized avalanches are possible. Especially on steep, little used north facing slopes only isolated slab avalanches are possible. This applies in particular in case of a large load. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

Snowpack Structure

The early morning will see quite favourable conditions mostly, but the danger of wet avalanches will increase later. The surface of the snowpack will soften during the day. Faceted weak layers exist in the old snowpack in particular on steep north facing slopes. The wind slabs are to recognise and can only be released in isolated cases.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will increase during the day.
