The General Avalanche Hazard at the Mid and Upper elevations is LOW in the early morning hours and will increase to MODERATE before noon. If clear skies prevail throughout the day, the avalanche hazard will continue to rise to CONSIDERABLE by the afternoon. The potential for wet loose and wet slab avalanches to occur on steep, snow-covered slopes will increase proportionally to the amount of daily heating. At the lower elevations most sunlit aspects are bare.

The Pacific disturbance approaching the region is the leading edge of a major change in the weather pattern for Western Wyoming. Mountain snow/valley rain should develop this evening, increase in coverage overnight and become more widespread through Monday. Overnight lows in the mountains are expected to be in the mid 20s and near freezing in the valley before rising into the low 40s up high and mid 50s down low. Southwesterly ridgetop winds at 15 to 25 mph are projected to back to South during the day on Monday.The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to be LOW in morning and then rising to MODERATE in the afternoon as warm temperatures and possible rain showers soften the snow surface.
