Points saillants
A strong Pacific system will bring heavy snow and strong southwest winds to the area beginning mid morning. The new snow will fall on slick suncrusts on east, south and west aspects and weak, faceted snow on north facing slopes. The snow and wind will create easily triggered sloughs on all aspects and slabs that increase to dangerous depths on lee slopes by late afternoon. At low elevations possible rain will bring the chance for wet-loose slides in steep areas like ravines or road cuts.
