Points saillants

At the mid and upper elevations instabilities associated with deeply buried faceted snow and hard crusts formed in November persist on a variety of aspects. Dangerous hard slabs up to six feet in depth are still very sensitive to human triggers on some steep slopes. Sunshine and warm temperatures may increase the potential for backcountry users to trigger one of these killer slides. Conservative decisions regarding terrain selection are recommended.
