Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. You may be able to trigger a small avalanche in an old, hard wind drift in very steep terrain. Evaluate all steep terrain on a slope-by-slope basis, looking for harder drifts of snow over softer, weaker, collapsible layers.

Snow starts on Friday afternoon. Look for and avoid fresh drifts of snow on easterly slopes. Shooting cracks are a sign that you can trigger an avalanche.
