Avalanche Summary

Heavy snowfall is creating dangerous avalanche conditions. You can trigger avalanches in the storm snow that break 2 to 3 feet deep. These avalanches can be wide and large enough to bury a person especially if combined with a terrain trap like a gully or road cut. Watch for and avoid drifted snow on steep slopes below ridgecrest, sides of gullies, and on steep rollovers. Terrain less than 30 degrees offers safer travel options.
