Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New soft surface slabs up to three feet in depth formed by southwest winds are expected to be easily triggered. The potential also remains for larger DANGEROUS hard slab avalanches up to five or six feet in depth to be triggered in steep avalanche terrain on a deeply buried layer of faceted snow formed early in the season. The consequences of triggered one of these slab avalanches could be severe.
