Avalanche Summary
Although triggering a dangerous avalanche is unlikely, warm temperatures and rain have brought highly variable conditions and uncertainty in avalanche danger through the elevation bands. If you were to trigger a small avalanche, it would be where you find 6 to 8 inches or more of recently wind-drifted snow on a steep slope above treeline. Below 12,000 feet, small, wet, loose avalanches are also worth considering after the rain event.
