Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard remains CONSIDERABLE today. Dangerous hard slabs up to four feet in depth exist in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones. These slabs could be triggered by snowmobilers or skiers who venture onto them and could step down to deeper buried layers of faceted snow paritcularly on slopes that contain a Northerly element. Natural wet loose and wet slab avalanches are possible today at all elevations as temperatures rise.
