Problèmes avalancheux

  • Storm Slabs

    • Alpin
    • Limite forestière
    • Sous la limite forestière
    Probabilité
    Possible
    Taille
    2–3
25cm of new snow in the past 24hrs is forming a soft slab up to 50cm thick in wind exposed areas. Winds are expected to switch to the North producing a wider spread slab condition.
  • Loose Wet

    • Alpin
    • Limite forestière
    • Sous la limite forestière
    Probabilité
    Likely
    Taille
    1–2
Several wet avalanches up to size 2 were observed in the Columbia Icefields area. Rain saturated snow at lower elevations is failing at the ground. Pay close attention to freezing level elevations.
  • Deep Persistent Slabs

    • Alpin
    • Limite forestière
    • Sous la limite forestière
    Probabilité
    Possible
    Taille
    2–4
These deeper layers can wake up unexpectedly. The on going storm snow may overload deep layer in some locations.
