Avalanche Activity

Wet and gliding snow require caution.

In particular in east to north to west facing aspects more medium-sized gliding avalanches and wet snow slides are possible especially in starting zones where no previous releases have taken place.

Snowpack Structure

Below approximately 1800 m only a little snow is lying. In gullies and bowls at high altitude there is still a very large amount of snow. The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to significant settling of the snowpack. Backcountry tours should be started and concluded early.
