Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wet snow

    • Above 1,900 m

Snowpack Structure

Below approximately 1800 m only a little snow is lying. The fresh and older wind slabs are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes. Further warming: These weather conditions will give rise to gradual moistening of the snowpack in particular on east, south and east facing slopes.

Avalanche Activity

Moist snow slides and avalanches are possible in isolated cases.

As a consequence of warming during the day individual mostly small wet snow slides and avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. In gullies and bowls and on steep sunny slopes the danger of moist and wet avalanches is a little higher. This applies in particular on east, south and west facing slopes.
