The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality. The weather will be very cloudy over a wide area. Up to 2700 m rain will fall. In all regions moist and wet avalanches are possible as a consequence of the moist air, in particular on very steep slopes, and at the base of rock walls. At high altitudes and in high Alpine regions a sometimes unfavourable avalanche situation will persist in some cases. Backcountry tours should be started very early and concluded timely.

In some localities 10 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since Tuesday above approximately 2600 m. As a consequence of mild temperatures and high relative humidity no crust will develop on the surface. The weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to moistening of the snowpack. Above approximately 2200 m a lot of snow is lying for the time of year.

The weather conditions will cause a slow weakening of the snowpack in all aspects.
