Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wet snow

    • Above 1,900 m

Avalanche Activity

Natural moist avalanches and wet snow slides and avalanches are the main danger.

Small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized wet snow slides and avalanches are possible above approximately 1900 m. In gullies and bowls and on steep sunny slopes the avalanche situation is more dangerous.

Snowpack Structure

Below approximately 1900 m hardly any snow is lying. The older wind slabs are to be found especially in gullies and bowls and at high altitudes. The spring-like weather conditions gave rise to gradual moistening of the old snowpack over a wide area.
