Storm slabs may remain reactive particularly in areas where the snow has been transported by the wind. At the lower end of the alpine or at the tree line elevation band the new snow may present itself as a wet loose avalanche problem.

Snowpack Summary

Saturday's storm delivered 20-30 cm of wet snow in alpine terrain and rain elsewhere. The wet snow will freeze and stabilize the snowpack in all but the highest terrain where isolated storm and or wind slabs may sit above a rain crust.
