The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep shady slopes at high altitude and in the vicinity of peaks. Low and intermediate altitudes: Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to rapid moistening of the snowpack. Some small moist snow slides are possible here.

Snowpack Structure

In these regions only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year. At low and intermediate altitudes no snow is lying on south facing slopes.
