CM for 04/03/22 Good general stability. Thin new windslab possible above 950m on South aspects. Avalanche Hazard will be Low.

Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability in most locations. Refrozen stable old snowpack above 800m. A few pockets of thin soft new windslab are possible at the top of steep South aspects above 950m. Glide cracks will continue to widen on selected East aspects below 800m. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Colder with a few light, sporadic snow showers. Light generally Northerly winds. Observed Weather Influences: Mainly dry overnight but with some light precipitation for a few hours during the day. Freezing at summit level. Moderate generally Southerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: Moist snowpack below 1000m, frozen and firmer above that altitude. Good stability in most locations. Thin new humid windslab but only at the top of very steep North-West through North to North-East aspects above 1000 metres. Full depth avalanche activity today on a steep East aspect at 800 metres. Glide cracks opening in similar locations elsewhere. The avalanche hazard is Low.
