The avalanche danger is generally LOW. The gusty wind on Thursday created some fresh drifts that may be still sensitive today. You'll find these in the higher terrain. I don't think they'll pose much threat but be aware that they may crack out on you.
Snow and Weather
Storm totals are 6 to 10 inches of new dense snow. It appears that the east side of the Skyline received the most snow which would make sense with the storm's southeast flow. The wind was gusty on Thursday and is calm this morning. Temperatures are around 20.
I did not see any real red flags during my travel on Thursday. The most notable thing I saw was some fresh drifts that were forming in the higher terrain. The new snow seemed well behaved.
We should see more snowfall later today and tonight with another 6 inches or so possible. We'll see a break on Saturday and then one more wave will move through Sunday with another 3 to 6 inches possible.
