Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected, with slopes remaining extensively scoured, icy and with a thin dusting of snow above 900 metres. However, accumulations of firm windslab will continue to overlie a significant weak layer. Steep wind sheltered locations such as coire rims, gully tops and scarp slopes of a West through North to North-East aspect above 900 metres will be most affected. Fragile cornices will remain over these aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry overnight but with very light precipitation in the morning. However, amounts are expected to be negligible. The ground will stay largely frozen above 900 metres despite a freezing level of around 1100 to 1200 metres. Winds will be light and variable throughout the period, predominately South-East overnight before veering to the North-West later. Observed Weather Influences: A predominately dry day with the odd shower in the morning. Very light winds were from the South for the duration of the day. The freezing level rose to around 1100 metres, although the ground remained cold from the glens upwards. ObservedSnowStability: Firm windslab overlies a significant weak layer in isolated areas. Most affected are very steep, wind sheltered locations such as coire rims, scarp slopes and gully tops of a West through North to North-East aspect above 850 metres. Cornices are also present. Elsewhere the ground is extensively scoured, icy and with just a thin dusting of snow. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
