Older snowdrift accumulations can be triggered on NW/N/NE facing slopes above 1800m in isolated cases. Isolated danger zones occur in gullies and bowls.

Snowpack Structure

Older snowdrift accumulations lie deposited on NW/N/NE facing slopes above 1800m atop soft layers. Below 1600m there is hardly any snow on the ground.

Weather Forecast

On Thursday, the high-pressure front conditions will continue, mostly sunshine will prevail. In the afternoon, a few clouds in the Hohe Tauern. In evening and during the nighttime hours, clouds will become denser. Easterly winds will be blowing at light to moderate velocity (35 km/hr).
