Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and stabilise. Some weaknesses may remain at depth on North-West to North-East aspects above 1000 meters, gradually diminishing throughout the forecast period. These accumulations will be mainly confined to steep convex terrain such as gully lines and coire rims. On other aspects and at lower elevations the snowpack will continue to deplete as the thaw continues. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Gale force South-South-East winds will ease during Wednesday evening and veer becoming strong South-South-Westerlies. Rain during the evening, followed by a predominantly dry day on Thursday. The freezing level will remain above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: Gale force Southerly winds. Rain showers. Freezing level above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: Snowpack stability is improving but some instabilities remain at depth on North-West to North-East aspects above 1000 metres. Areas most affected are wind sheltered locations such as steep convex terrain, gully lines and coire rims. Debris from a large recent avalanche event was noted on a NE aspect at 1000 metres. On other aspects and at lower elevations the patchy snowpack continued to stabilise. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
