Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected. The snowpack will continue to slowly thaw, and will be generally stable on all aspects and at all levels. Main accumulations of snow lie on North to East aspects above 850m and favoured snow-holding areas on high plateaus. Ribbons of old snow down to 750m in selected steep gullies. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will remain above all summits throughout the period. It is expected to be dry for almost all the period, with a little rain arriving late afternoon. Winds will be South-Easterly gradually strengthening throughout the period to very strong. Observed Weather Influences: It was a dry bright day, with the freezing level rising above all summits during the morning. Winds were moderate to strong South-Easterly. ObservedSnowStability: The patchy snowpack is generally stable on all aspects and at all levels. Its surface softened during the day. The avalanche hazard is Low.
