Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining patchy snow will be well bonded and stable. Greatest amounts will be encountered above 900 metres, especially on the higher mountains of the main Cairngorm plateau area. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: There will be a trace of new snow on the highest summits only. Moderate Southerly winds veering West-South-Westerly for a time during the morning. The freezing level will be around 1150 metres overnight, lowering to 900 metres by morning, before rising once again to 1100 metres by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: A dry and bright day with moderate South-Westerly winds. Cold first thing but then the freezing level rose to around 1200 metres.
