Weakly bonded old snow and gliding snow represent the main danger. In the valleys bordering the Pallaresa basin a moderate danger will persist.

From midday the weather will be warm. The solar radiation will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack on steep sunny slopes. Released avalanches and stability tests confirm the unfavourable bonding of the snowpack on shady slopes. Above the tree line there are 50 to 70 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. At intermediate and high altitudes snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. At low altitude hardly any snow is lying.

Monday: The danger of dry and moist avalanches will not decrease for the time being.

The old wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases on very steep northwest, north and northeast facing slopes and at intermediate and high altitudes. They are lying on top of a weakly bonded old snowpack. The avalanches are rather small. In the Port de la Bonaigua sector, in the Gerber and Àrreu valleys and in the Marimanha valley and the Baciver circus and above approximately 2100 m the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent and the danger is level 2 (moderate). In other regions these avalanche prone locations are more rare and the danger is level 1 (low). In shady places that are protected from the wind: The snowpack is faceted and weak. This snow can be released by a single winter sport participant in particular on extremely steep northwest, north and northeast facing slopes. Here the avalanches are only shallow. In addition from midday on southeast, south and west facing slopes, some small gliding avalanches are to be expected.
