Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wind slab

    • Above 1,800 m
  • Persistent weak layers

    • Above 1,800 m

Avalanche Activity

The wind slabs represent the main danger.

In the regions exposed to heavier precipitation the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent and larger. Adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls and on wind-loaded slopes medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large avalanches are possible. In particular on steep sunny slopes loose snow avalanches are possible. Avalanches can be released by large loads.

Snowpack Structure

Weak layers exist in the top section of the snowpack. The wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack. They must be evaluated with care and prudence. In many places there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface.

Tendency

The weather will be partly cloudy.
