Wind slabs and wet snow represent the main danger.

The mostly small wind slabs of the last few days can be released in isolated cases on extremely steep shady slopes and generally in high Alpine regions. In particular in high Alpine regions these avalanche prone locations are more prevalent. In some places new snow is lying on an icy crust. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised as well in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. As the snowfall level rises wet loose snow slides are possible.

In all altitude zones only a little snow is now lying. The snowpack is largely stable and its surface consists of loosely bonded snow lying on a strong crust. The avalanche prone locations are rare.

As a consequence of warming, the likelihood of moist snow slides and avalanches being released will increase further. Up to intermediate altitudes rain will fall.
