Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are free of avalanche danger due to a shallow, weak snowpack. That said, it's still a good idea to steer clear of stiff areas of wind-drifted snow on very steep slopes above treeline. Westerly winds formed the deepest drifts on northeast- and east-facing slopes at upper elevations.
