Avalanche Summary

You can trigger a small avalanche in areas where you find pockets of drifted snow above weak, old snow in the alpine on north-facing terrain, particularly right at the ridgeline and along the edges of terrain features like gullies.

These avalanches are small, isolated, and easy to avoid, but you could be knocked off your feet and brush up against some rocks.

Join the Friends of CAIC on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center for the 18th annual CAIC Benefit Bash - the season's biggest fundraiser for avalanche safety. Tickets are available here <https://breckcreate.org/events/caic-benefit-bash>
