Avalanche Activity

Moderate avalanche danger will prevail. At elevated altitudes the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent.

The wind slabs represent the main danger. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular at the base of rock walls, and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The wind slabs can still be released. This applies in particular in case of a large load. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack's surface remains generally characterized by alternating eroded areas interspersed with deposited zones; in many areas, hard surface crusts are present, locally hidden. Near the crests, evident cornices remain in many places. Weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on shady slopes.

Tendency

The weather will be sunny at times. Slight warming.
