Avalanche Activity

Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain well bonded, firm and stable. Largest areas will remain on North-West through North to East aspects above 900 metres, snow cover will be more patchy elsewhere. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: After a dry night rain will develop at all levels during the day. The freezing level will rise above all summits by dawn with Southerly winds increasing in strength to become strong during daylight hours. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with some sunshine and moderate mainly westerly winds. The freezing level rose to around 1000 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded, very firm and stable. Largest areas remain on North-West through North to East aspects above around 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
