Forecast Snow Stability: There will be some fresh wet snow deposits above 850 metres, on North to Westerly aspects. These are not expected to be significant, and should be shallow and well bonded, but there is some slight uncertainty regards snowfall amounts. The existing snowpack will continue to consolidate and thaw, but remain firm at higher elevations, with good stability at all levels. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Frequent showers through this evening, and into Monday morning, will give some snow above 850 metres. In the afternoon it will become drier. Strong to very strong, mainly South-Westerly winds, will moderate to fresh by the end of the period. The freezing level will slowly rise from 900 metres to 1100 metres through the day. Observed Weather Influences: There were frequent squally showers throughout the day. These were of sleet and snow above 900 metres . Winds were strong to very strong South-Westerly on the summits and the freezing level was around 950 metres. ObservedSnowStability: At all levels, consolidation of the snowpack continues, with thawing and some depletion at lower levels. Greatest snow accumulations are found above 800 metres, on North to Easterly aspects. Icy patches, and firmer snow exist at higher elevations. The avalanche hazard is Low
