Avalanche Activity

Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will remain well bonded and stable. The snow surface will become firmer overnight and soften where exposed to the sun during the day. Cornices that remain above some North to East facing slopes will be prone to collapse where exposed to the sun. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: High pressure will bring a dry sunny day with light and variable winds. The freezing level will be above the summits however terrain may be frozen at lower levels. Observed Weather Influences: A mild, dry day with moderate South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and stable. Greatest amounts remain in high North and East facing Cories. The avalanche hazard is Low.
