Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be quite stable. Slight increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of the new snow.

Light snowfall to intermediate altitudes. The sometimes moderate wind will transport the new snow. Some fresh snow as well as the small wind slabs represent the main danger.

Snowpack Structure

New snow and wind slabs are lying mostly on the smooth surface of an old snowpack. Isolated avalanche prone weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack especially on very steep shady slopes. Only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

Tendency

As a consequence of new snow and wind the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent.
